Well. Even though I never got around to finishing Bioshock I was pretty interested in getting Bioshock 2. Not anymore though. At least not by purchasing it. When will developers realize that putting Draconian DRM bullshit in their games will only cause more people not less to go pirate their game? I was fully prepared to buy the game. More than likely I would have bought it through Steam because that generally makes things stupidly easy so not only am I buying it, but more money is going into their hands since they're not paying for physical media. But not this time. Not only would I have to log into Steam to play the game, but I also have to log into Windows LIVE just to save? Double you tee eff mate? I will quite happily never pay a dime for this game, but download it with a 0-day crack to get me nicely around all the DRM crap.

Games for Windows LIVE is a load of crap. I bought GTA4 off of Steam during the holiday sale and guess what I also had to install in order to play/save/etc.!? That's right. Games for Windows LIVE. The best part is I made it about halfway through the game, upgraded to Win7 and found out that savegames aren't transferable. I had to download some user-made crack that disabled the LIVE bullshit (and multiplayer as well, sigh) just so I had could load my savegame.

Good to know. I've thought about buying GTA4 for some mindless mayhem, but now I'll pass on that one as well.
